Hey, this is Sherwood with the report for Saturday afternoon at 12PM.
1-3 ft
ankle to waist high and poor conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: NW swell continues to build with plenty of waist-chest-shoulder high waves on tap this afternoon. Top spots hit head high on occasion. Winds are light onshore with mostly clean conditions.
This morning's dawn patrol: Clean conditions, but small and inconsistent. NW energy having a hard time wrapping in with waves around knee-thigh high near the pier.
Hazy skies, building onshore flow.
New NW groundswell will be on the rise today where it mixes with a mid-period WNW-NW swell and small SW groundswell. The better NW exposed spots of the region are currently holding sets around the chest-shoulder high range this early morning. Furthermore, surface conditions are clean with calm wind. Look for bigger sets later today.
SUNDAY: Steep angled NW groundswell holds throughout the day with 3-4' sets wrapping in at the better NW spots. Standout breaks produce occasional waves that are around 5'+. Small SW swell mixing in with inconsistent 1-2' waves. Clean conditions throughout the morning and staying fairly clean for the afternoon as well.
Wind: Calm to light/variable to light offshore early. Then look for a light seabreeze to develop from the west for the afternoon.

Apparently, after three confirmed sightings the lifeguard came up to the announcer’s booth to say to everyone to exit the water and that they had just witnessed a shark in the area around 11:30 AM.” Please report any shark sighting, encounter, or attack to the Shark Research Committee.
