Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Monday afternoon
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: WNW swell mix continues a fading trend this afternoon as onshore flow remains fairly light only putting a slight texture to the surface. Better breaks are good for waist-chest-head high surf, with larger sets for top spots. There are scattered, decent corners on tap at most breaks if you don't mind a little surface lump/bump.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Pretty broken up and sectiony with tight intervals and some holding up corners with the offshore winds right now.
Partly cloudy with SSW winds 3-6kts.
Today's waves are best suited to the
Fatburner.
A solid WNW wind and ground swell mix is battlinf with high tides this morning. Chest to Head high waves are the norm with Over Head sets at a lot of the more open areas to this swell combo. It's still pretty ragged looking but it is trying to clean up.
Health officals advice against any ocean contact within 72 hours of a rain event due to elevated bacteria levels, especially near rivermouths, harbors and drainpipes.
