Hey, this is Sherwood with the report for Saturday afternoon at 12PM. 2-3 ft - knee to waist highand poor+ conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: WNW winds continue to hurt conditions this afternoon. Expect bumpy, textured waves in the knee-chest high zone, going bigger at the top Northern OC spots. We should see some larger sets later this afternoon as our SE energy kicks in. A 1.5' low tide around 2PM drains things out.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Mostly clean lines around waist high.
Clear skies with gusty WNW winds. Sloppy surf on tap this morning thanks to gusty NW winds. We have a mix of NW windswell and some building SE energy that has most spots seeing knee-waist high waves with the top breaks hitting chest-shoulder high on the sets. Expect more size as we head through the day. The tide is climbing to a 5' high around 8AM. SUNDAY: NW windswell fades as SE tropical swell mainly passes by. Surf is mostly knee-waist+ while top breaks hit shoulder high. Look for progressively larger surf the further north in the county you go, as more SE swell will be able to move into those more northerly spots Wind:Offshore NE in the morning, NW 10-15kts+ in the afternoon.
