Observed Surf Report by Schaler at 6:15am
SURF:
1-3 ft
ankle to waist high
Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Friday morning
This morning's dawn patrol: Clean, scattered little lines on tap this morning. Looking pretty weak out there.
Clear with calm winds early.
Today's waves are best suited to the
Super Fish.
Glassy, tiny surf prevails this morning off a mix of NW(290-300+) groundswell and minimal S swell. Not helping the cause, the tide is filling in to a 5'+ high just after 7am, really swamping things out across the region. For the dawn patrol expect most breaks to be staying under knee high, with top spots getting to thigh/waist high at best. Look for conditions to improve slightly as the tide drops out.
Health officals advise against any ocean contact within 72 hours of a rain event due to elevated bacteria levels, especially near rivermouths, harbors and drainpipes.
