Hey, this is Kurt with the report for Tuesday morning at 6:55 AM. 2-3 ft + - waist to stomach high with occasional 4 ft. and fair - conditions.
AM Report:
Clean S windswell/E swell mix showing this morning with light offshore winds. Still a decent shaped wave coming through but a little on the small side. S windswell continues for the region this morning, strongest for the south facing spots. E facers are seeing S windswell wrap and lingering E swell mix, strongest for breaks over the bridge. Conditions are clean for the E facers with some lingering bump/sideshore texture at the south facing breaks. Look for steady westerly winds today -- Check the Surfline forecast for details.
TUESDAY:
Better exposed breaks see 4-5’ SSW windswell but winds are looking dicey for the S facers. Spots from Buxton northward see sideshore S windswell/E swell mix in the 3-4’ range. This will be a notch smaller for spots N of Oregon Inlet. Expect surf across the region to generally be on the fading trend through the day.

Thanksgiving’s over. Hurricane season’s done. But the winter surfing holiday’s just begun. Keep your eyes on Surfline for coverage from the past week and forecasts for more systems to come. And if that’s not enough of a feast, dig into the Vans Triple Crown and our Hawaii coverage where CJ Hobgood, Sterling Spencer and Ben Bourgeois are already getting into the spirit by handing out turkeys in Honolulu. Join Billabong and Digital Wunderland for the "Beyond The Barrier" East Coast movie tour: Dec. 3, Kefi’s Wilmington, NC; Dec. 4, O’Malley’s, Charleston, SC. Shows start at 9pm. Check a clip here. On Dec. 3, SSC Surfrider will meet at the Daily Dose on James Island. Starts at 6:30pm. Get your entries in by Dec. 4 for Maryland ESA’s HO-HO Surf Contest scheduled for Dec. 6-7. The contest will be at North Side or Tower Road in DE. Meanwhile, in WB, Tony Butler is gearing up for the 4th Annual Hope From Helen Surf Silent Auction at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach. The date will be Friday December 5th and food will be courtesy of Tower 7 and live music by local surf legends Jerry Powell and Greg Eavey. They’re currently seeking both auction items and donations. Contact Tony for details and spread the word. Also on Dec. 5, Outer Banks ESA will hold their End of the Year Banquet while ESA CNC gets festive on Dec. 7. Check the sites for details. On Saturday, Dec. 6, Lost Enterprises throws the shindig of the season with the long-awaited unveiling of 5'5" X 19 1/4" Redux. Remember that classic Lost VHS tape you played end-on-end for years? Movie around 9pm. Ocean City Surfrider is doing double duty on Dec. 6, with a 10am beach clean up at a location TBA followed by a noon meeting at Bull on the Beach. And check the site for deets on the Dec. 13 holiday party with food, entertainment and more. On Dec. 10, DC Surfrider will meet at the meeting space of the DC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in Washington, DC, near Dupont Circle.?(Location: 1777 Church Street NW, Washington, DC.) They will have representatives from local environmental organizations, art, jewelry and crafts from local artists, food and beverages, as well as beer provided by New South Brewing Company. Entry to the invitation only event is free with an unwrapped toys for a child aged 2-15, or a donation which will go to Toys for Tots. Before we go, let’s take a break from Christmas and revisit Halloween. The scary season struck SC last week as a white shark washed ashore. Keep those stockings up. The national election’s done, but another political fight is only beginning. With Congress lifting the ban on offshore drilling , now’s the time to contact your Senators and State Reps and tell them it’s time to explore for fresh energy solutions – not petroleum. And, finally, what’s the best part of a surf trip? That giant excess baggage fee the airlines pork you with on both sides, right? Wrong! Well, stop bitching and do something by signing this petition.
