Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Friday afternoon
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: Sloppy, stormy surf is on tap this afternoon as old NW swell drops, small S swell is in the mix, and new NW swell builds. Better breaks have shoulder-head high+ surf, with well-overhead sets for top exposures. Rain and breezy Southerly winds are making an absolute mess of the surf this afternoon. Stay warm.
This morning's dawn patrol: Semi-clean, warbly lines on tap this morning in the chest-head high+ zone. Looking like there are a few fun corners in the mix.
Rain and breezy S winds.
Today's waves are best suited to the
Super Fish.
Our NW-WNW(280-300+) swell from yesterday is dropping, as new, more sizeable, NW-WNW(280-300+) swell builds in through the day today. For the dawn patrol better breaks have surf in the shoulder-head high+ surf, with standout spots pulling in some occasional 2-3'+ overhead sets. Conditions are looking a little warbly and mixed up at some of the more exposed breaks. Look for conditions to improve slightly through the morning if the S winds stay off it.
