Hey, this is Chris with the report for Monday afternoon at 2:00PM.
SURF:
4-7 ft. - shoulder high to 2 ft. overhead and fair - conditions.

This afternoon's overview: This afternoon there's a slow fading but still very healthy WNW(285-300) groundswell with consistent shoulder high plus to easily overhead surf. Light to moderate WNW winds due to rise some more this afternoon. The tide is dropping through the rest of the day.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Plus sets. Clean, consistent lines with some workable shoulders.

WEATHER:
W/NW 8-12kts+ this afternoon.
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY'S REGIONAL OVERVIEW:
This morning there's a slow fading but still very solid WNW(285-300) groundswell with consistent head high plus to easily overhead surf. Light winds for clean condtions now, moderate WNW winds due this afternoon. The tide is climbing to a 5' high around 11:00am.
FORECAST SUMMARY:
TUESDAY: WNW swell continues to backslide but still pretty solid with shoulder-head high+ waves and well overhead sets for better exposed spots.

Winds: Light N/NW wind early, building NW in the afternoon around 8-12kts+.

Save The Waves Coalition recently announced a groundbreaking new event, "The Value of Waves Roundtable," taking place Friday, December 5th in Half Moon Bay. The first-ever event will be at brand-new Oceano Hotel & Spa at Pillar Point Harbor, in the shadow of the word-famous big-wave break "Mavericks." The Roundtable will bring together thought leaders and experts from multiple fields to discuss wave and coastal protection within the context of Save The Waves' new global initiative, the World Wave Sites Program. The Central Coast’s first ever Surf Symposium is set to premiere at Downtown Brew in San Luis Obispo on Thursday, December 11th at 7 p.m.. The evening will featuring a surfboard shaping design forum and live music by local surfboard shaper/artist/musician, Shane Stoneman, and a screening of the locally produced surf film, Lost in The Middle. The night also entails valuable giveaways from local businesses and a raffle for a free custom shaped surfboard. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $8 at Boo Boo Records, Downtown Brew box office or online at Ticketweb.com. They will also be available at the door for $10. We’ll see you there.
