Hola, this is Oscar with the report for Friday morning at 6:40AM.
4-7 ft. - shoulder high to 2 ft. overhead with occasional 9 ft. and fair+ conditions.
Surf Report: Today the SW swell started to fill in along the coast with waves between 4 to 9 feet. Most areas are seeing CHESTto OVER HEAD high surf with some of the standard spots like PUNTA ROCAS getting 8 to 9 ft sets. The best spot to surf today is CABALLEROS at 4 to 5 feet.
The conditions are S wind of 4 kts and overcast skies in the morning.
Today the SW swell started to fill in along the coast with waves between 4 to 9 feet. Most areas are seeing CHESTto OVER HEAD high surf with some of the standard spots like PUNTA ROCAS getting 8 to 9 ft sets. The best spot to surf today is CABALLEROS at 4 to 5 feet.
Slowly fading but still head high plus SW swell will linger into Saturday as the shorter period South swell fades and smaller but still ridable SW swell will go into Sunday. More overhead SW groundswell is in the works for Monday/Tuesday and we will see lighter SE winds over the weekend and into Monday.

Local surfer Oscar Morante died Monday, December 4th while surfing Caballeros, south of Lima; he was 63. Oscar, the former forecast reporter for Peru, was a great friend and waterman. He dedicated more than 30 years to serve the international surfing community. Thanks for everything, Oscar. You will be missed.
