LOCAL NEWS:
There will be a meeting this Thursday, May 17th at 6pm at Club Waikiki to explore starting a Surfrider Foundation Chapter in Lima. All people interested in participating are invited to attend. Please RSVP with Lia Colabello, Surfrider International Relations Manager, at lia@surfrider.org, mahalo!

Local surfer Oscar Morante died Monday, December 4th while surfing Caballeros, south of Lima; he was 63. Oscar, the former forecast reporter for Peru, was a great friend and waterman. He dedicated more than 30 years to serve the international surfing community. Thanks for everything, Oscar. You will be missed.
