Today

Building surf under bumpy conditions. Lots of current/rips at open beachbreaks this PM.

Dawn to 10:00AM: Mix of older SW swell and new, long period SSW swell that will slowly increase through the SM. Lully on the front end of the long-period swell this morning, but chest-shoulder high at many breaks. Standouts in the far north county a bit overhead. Light wind and decent shape at beachbreaks.

Afternoon Outlook: Breaks that can really focus long period energy see surf build through the day, going overhead at standouts, largest late. Low-end moderate W PM winds.
