Hi, this is Kevin with the report for Monday afternoon at 1:00. 3-4 ft. + - waist to shoulder high with occasional 5 ft. and fair+ conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: We've got nice size surf this afternoon, which is starting to favor the points and reefs over the beachbreaks with the dropping tide and light onshore wind (reefs still pretty clean, beachbreaks on the crumbly side). Surf is slightly inconsistent, butmany spots are in the 3-4' range, with sets running slightly overhead at standouts (6'+ faces). Winds are light out of the SW to W around 5-8kts+. Patchy fog is rolling in and out as well.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Semi walled up lines with a bit of roll to it but corners can be found.
Patchy fog with light SW to W wind. A solid WNW swell is keeping ALL areas in decent size surf but lower part of our County is picking it up the most. Waist to Shoulder high + waves are common. Solid Shoulder to Over Head waves can be found at the top open areas to this swell direction. Although tide swings continue to be pretty dramatic from an early high to a evening low, there is enough size to keep all breaks rideable through these changes. TUESDAY: A near 6’ high tide around 11AM will be an issue through the mid-morning. WNW swell slowly fades with surf in the waist-shoulder-head high range and larger sets for standout NW breaks. Wind: Light/variable to light offshore wind early, turning W to around 10kts for the afternoon.
