SURF: 2-3 ft + thigh to chest high and fair conditions. **No PM update today due to the holiday. This Morning's Dawn Patrol: A light tex. on broken up lines with larger open faces on the sets. WEATHER: Mostly clear skies with calm to light/variable wind NORTH SAN DIEGO'S REGIONAL OVERVIEW: Happy 4th! New, but small SW groundswell in the water today. The better exposed breaks to the SW energy are holding inconsistent surf mainly around 1-2-3' with an occasional bigger set for select spots. Surface conditions are clean this early morning. Looks like another small day of surf, but the forecast is looking much better for Sunday and early next week! FORECAST SUMMARY: SATURDAY: Small SW groundswell/NW windswell mix provides mainly 1-2'+ surf, with some sets to waist high at top SW breaks. Wind: Light/variable to light onshore early, building W wind through the day into the 10-15kt range. Today's waves are best suited to the  Fatburner.
