Patchy fog..., this is David with the report for Monday afternoon at 1pm.
2-3 ft.+ - knee to chest high and fair+ conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: Conditions still looking pretty clean out there with light onshore winds and intermittent fog making things a bit difficult to see at times. Fun NW swell is on tap with most spots seeing waist-shoulder-head high waves and standouts picking up overhead sets at times. Tide is now dropping to a .1' low at 6pm so overall shape is getting a bit better with more top to bottom corners. Larger and more walled the further North you go.
This morning's dawn patrol: Cant see through the fog....expect clean lines with scattered corners and occasional + sets.
Light/variable winds with patchy coastal fog.
DENSE FOG making things impossible to see out there right now. A good dose of NW swell is on the buoys this morning so expect surf in the shoulder-head high range for lots of spot, with standouts (HB northward) seeing some sets go a couple feet+ overhead at times. Winds are light so surface conditions should be clean and the tide hits a 5.3' high at 10am.
TUESDAY: A near 6’ high tide around 11AM will be an issue through the mid-morning. WNW slowly fades with surf in the waist-shoulder-head high range for the well exposed breaks. Standouts see some + sets at times, drop in size south of HB.
Wind: Light/variable to light offshore wind early, turning W to around 10kts for the afternoon.

Head's Up, Newport Surfers: On Friday 11/21, 12:30PM, Mike Vengrin's backpack was stolen in broad daylight at 54th street while he watched helplessly from the water. If you leave your stuff on the beach, keep an eye out. Better if you can avoid that risk altogether though.
Stolen: Wetsuit, hat and booties - Nov 14th at San O' at approx 5:45 - 6P. Wetsuit was a black 4/3 Rip Curl - sealed, elasto, XXL. All three were hanging on a board rack, next to the shower, at the beginning of the parking lot (first bathrooms). Contact awvipkpfk@yahoo.com
