Happy 4th, this is Sherwood with the report for Saturday morning at 5:45AM.
1-2 ft
ankle to knee high with occasional 3 ft. and poor-fair conditions.
**No PM update today due to the holiday.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Semi-clean, inconsistent lines around knee high. Soft, weak shape overall.
Light/variable winds early.
Small, weak surf on tap this morning thanks to minor NW windswell and building SW(200-215) energy. Expect 1-2' waves on average, while the standout breaks see the occasional waist high set. Winds are light.
SATURDAY: Old SW/NW swells slowly fade out as a new, but small SW groundswell shows. Weak surf in the 1-2' occasional 3' range at the better exposed breaks to the SW energy. Inconsistent on the bigger sets. Cleanest early.
Wind: Calm to light/variable to very light onshore wind early. Then a seabreeze develops by the afternoon from the West around 5-10kts+.
Today's waves are best suited to the SUP.
