Hey, this is Sherwood with the report for Saturday afternoon at 12:15PM.
6-10 ft.
head high + to double overhead and poor conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: Solid surf on tap this afternoon, although conditions are on the funky side. Expect textured shape at the more open areas with waves running anywhere from head high to double overhead+. Top spots go bigger as we continue to head through the day.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Dealing with some bump/crumble this morning. Expect solid lines going head high+ with just kind of poor-fair/poor+ shape overall. Look for more size as we head through the day.
Onshore wind.
Solid NW(290-315) swell peaks today, providing overhead+ waves early on. Top spots approach double-triple overhead on the better sets. Winds are light/variable right now, although the more open areas are dealing with some surface texture.
SUNDAY: Large, easing NW swell. Expect more overhead to well overhead waves to show at the North Hemi exposed breaks throughout the region. The good NW spots that can handle this swell will continue to produce double to near triple overhead sets. Certain deepwater spots may see occasional plus waves. *Another day to exercise caution before entering the water. The more sheltered southerly exposures will be smaller, but cleaner.
Wind: Light North/NNE wind early. NW by the afternoon around 5-10kts.
