Hey, this is Chris with the report for Wednesday morning at 5:50am.
1-3 ft - ankle to waist high and fair conditions.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Clean, soft, semi-consistent little low tide peelers. Tide push helps.
Light winds early turn WSW 8-12kts this afternoon.
This morning there's a mix of fading S(180-190) Southern Hemi swell and SSE~170 Tropical swell plus a trace of NW windswell. There's also a .7' low tide around 7:00am. End result for the dawn patrol is mainly knee-waist plus zone surf on the drained side. Shape improves with the tide push. Light winds with clean conditions early, moderate onshores this afternoon.
WEDNESDAY: Fading mix of S and SSE swells, joined by new SW groundswell. Strongest at the better exposed breaks with waist-chest-shoulder high surf in the morning.
Watch out for the 0.7 Low tide around 7:00AM, which will keep conditions on the drained side for the dawn patrol. Expect generally improving conditions with the tide push.
Wind: Light/variable early, with WSW wind building up to 8-12kts+ for the afternoon.

Instead of paving it all into a parking lot, the City of Malibu is putting up a small paradise on a choice piece of land in the middle of town. The Malibu Legacy Park is a public project that will permanently effect water quality – and quality of life - and the City would love to hear comment from the public. We'll see you there.
UPDATE: We were informed this weekend that UC Irvine's Bren Center will NOT play host to the Commerce Department's public hearing on the 241 Toll Road on July 25th. No new dates have been set. In the meantime, make sure that the Commerce Department knows that you still want the opportunity to be heard. Send an email to Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez demanding that they reschedule the hearing so that he can hear from the community on this issue. Then check out a Save Trestles petition here.

You can help by visiting this link and filling out the survey: http://www.beachology.com/surf. Your participation can help us better protect and manage California surf spots in the future.
