Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Tuesday afternoon
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW WNW mid period swell continues to fade as longer period WNW groundswell eases this afternoon. Good breaks have knee-waist-chest high surf, with occasional plus sets for top spots. Conditions are a bit of an issue with Southerly flow putting some decent bump/texture to the surface at most breaks.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Pretty clean right now with soft and rolly lines with larger sets that can stand up. Watch out for increased S winds.
Mostly cloudy with SW winds 5-10kts.
Today's waves are best suited to the
Mini Fish.
As the WNW wind and ground swell continues to fade, a small but steady NW direction is backing it up some to keep us in decent waves. All areas are going to be affected by strong High to Low tide swings and likely increases of winds out of the South. Waist to Chest + waves are the norm but stand out areas can expect to see sets in the Head high range at times.
Health officals advice against any ocean contact within 72 hours of a rain event due to elevated bacteria levels, especially near rivermouths, harbors and drainpipes.
