SURF REPORT
Hey, this is David with the report for Wednesday morning at 5:50am.
SURF:
3-5 ft. - waist to head high and fair+ conditions.

This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Mostly walled shape(especially the larger sets) with some corners here and there to pick off. Clean and a bit more tide should hold up a few more makeable ones, with the current looking like a river right now.

* Southside of pier closed thru July 27th for the U.S. Open contest.

WEATHER:
Early clouds with calm winds.
NORTH ORANGE COUNTY'S REGIONAL OVERVIEW:
Still plenty of southern hemi energy on tap with fading S and SSE swells as a new SW long period swell is on the rise and a touch of NW windswell is crossing it up. Fun size across the region with calm winds, clean conditions but shape is on the drained out/walled side with a .6' low tide at 7am. Look for a bit better shape on the tide push later this morning.
FORECAST SUMMARY:
WEDNESDAY: Fading mix of old S and SSE swells, joined by new SW groundswell, touch of NW windswell. Biggest in the morning with chest-shoulder-head high surf and some overhead sets at standouts.

Watch out for the 0.7 Low tide around 7:00AM, which will keep conditions on the drained side for the dawn patrol. Expect generally improving conditions with the tide push.

Wind: Light/variable early, with W wind building up to 8-12kts for the afternoon.
