Hey Now, this is davO with the report for Friday afternoon at 1:30pm. Inconsistent with occasional 2 ft. and poor+ conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: This afternoon we are seeing WNW swell making for surf in the waist-head high range for most spots with the better breaks pulling in occasional bigger sets. Winds are on it out of the W/NW for semi-chopped surface conditions in most areas. Tides are still dropping and really draining things out-look for some improvement as the tide fills back into the evening. This morning's dawn patrol: Swamped out little longboard lines wrapping in on occasion that are soft and weak. Less tide later may help. Clean surface conditions.
Clear skies with light North/NW wind More WNW-NW swell wrapping in this morning for waist-head high waves across the better exposures of the region, select standouts have an occasional overhead set. There is also tiny SSW swell mixing in, but that is mainly lost under the dominant North Hemi energy. Surface conditions are mostly clean, but a 6.7' High tide at 7:50am will keep things a bit swamped this morning before dropping to a -1.5' Low by 3:05pm. FRIDAY: WNW/NW groundswell fills in with shoulder high+ to overhead surf at well exposed spots. Small, fading SSW swell also in the mix for some crossed up peaks at combo breaks. Watch for the deep 6.7' high tide around 8am to really slow things down. Wind: Light NE-NNE winds due through the day.
