Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Friday afternoon at 1:40pm.
3-4 ft.
waist to chest high and poor to fair conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: Onshore flow is putting a little bump to the surface this afternoon as our mix of WNW and SW swells ease. Better breaks through the region are still pulling in some inconsistent waist-chest high sets, with standout exposures still seeing some slightly larger peaks. The tide will be dropping for the remainder of the afternoon so keep that in mind if you head for a surf.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol:Clean lines, a little soft but plenty rideable and offering the occasional racy section. Best/biggest at Stables and Pipe.
Partly cloudy with light onshore flow.
Our surf has come down as WNW swell (280-300) is fading and mixing with small SW swell (205-220). The better breaks in the region are seeing waist-chest high waves, with some larger sets at top breaks. Conditions are clean but, once again, watch out for the fat high tide around mid morning which will really slow a lot of spots down.
SATURDAY: The early morning will start out a little slow with mainly old WNW swell. New WNW swell builds through the afternoon with chest-shoulder high waves at the better breaks and slightly overhead high sets (6'+ faces) at top breaks late.
Wind/Weather: Light/variable early morning with possible leftover bump on the water. W wind will build 8-11kts for the afetrnoon.
