knee to chest high
Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Tuesday afternoon
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW Easing WNW mid period swell and longer period WNW groundswell are on tap this afternoon. Good breaks have knee-waist high+ surf, with occasional chest high sets for top spots. Conditions are an issue, with sectiony, wind blown lines the norm at most breaks.
This morning's dawn patrol: Semi-clean, scattered peaks with a little lump/texture to the surface. Mostly running in the knee-waist high-stomach high zone.
Mostly cloudy with SSW winds 5-10kts.
Today's waves are best suited to the
Mini Fish.
A mix of old/easing mid period WNW(270-300) swell and small, long period WNW-NW groundswell is on tap today. Better breaks across the region are running in the knee-waist high zone, as top exposures pull in some chest high sets. Winds are light/variable offshore, with the surf still looking a bit jumbled but offering up some occasional semi-mostly clean corners. A high tide just after 6am keeps things a bit sluggish early.
Health officals advice against any ocean contact within 72 hours of a rain event due to elevated bacteria levels, especially near rivermouths, harbors and drainpipes.
