the day. As Parker Coffin, Encinitas' Jake Marshall and Taylor Clark were all taken out by an in form Kanoa Igarashi who racked up the highest single wave score of the day - a 9.83 - and tacked on an 8.67 to seal it. In the Girl's U16 division, Anise Guzman's two-wave tally sunk Emmy Merrill and Harley Taich and earned Guzman her first win of the WSA Prime season. In a back-and-forth final, Courtney Conlogue held off Chandler Parr to continue her undefeated streak this year with her third consecutive win. Top Performers: With the brat pack depleted -- this was a contest minus the Thorne Brothers, Nat Young and Connor Coffin -- some standouts who might otherwise have been overlooked were taken notice of. But even if the usual suspects had all been there, Kanoa Igarashi's performance was most memorable. Perhaps equally as impressive, though, was the slugfest in the Girl's U18 final between Courtney Conlogue and Chandler Parr. At the very least, those girls garner an honorable mention.
