Psychology professor and avid surfer Antonio Puente was hooked as soon as he took a tour of the University of North Carolina Wilmington - and its nearby beaches.

"As soon as I was taken to Wrightsville Beach, I was ready to sign the contract," Puente said.

The Web site surfline.com just rated UNCW as one of the top 10 campuses in the country for surfers. Puente is one of many faculty and students at UNCW who flock to the beaches on weekends, surf boards in tow.
