YOLO Board and 30A Radio Team Up for New SUP Radio Show
November 24, 2009
PRESS RELEASE
The exploding growth of stand-up paddling has now made its way onto the airwaves. YOLO Board co-founder Jeff Archer has teamed up with 30A Radio favorite Leslie Kolovich to co-host a live weekly radio show called 'Stand Up Paddle Boarding with Jeff Archer and Leslie Kolovich' on 30A Radio 107.1 FM on Thursdays at 11:00am (Central Standard Time). The show can also be listened to live worldwide at www.30Aradio.org. The segment features the latest news and industry information regarding the growing sport of stand-up paddling and also includes interviews from industry guests. Past guests on the show have included big wave surfer, windsurfer and paddleboard enthusiast Dave Kalama, Meg Chun of Kialoa Paddles, founder of Jupiter Paddle Boarding John Denney and locally based paddleboard racer Gary Wise. The show also follows Jeff Archer as he paddles different locations throughout Florida.
"Doing a radio show totally on SUP has been awesome! I've personally grown to love the sport, and I am so grateful that I was in a position at the radio station to be able to give it a voice on the airwaves," said Leslie Kolovich, General Manager at 30A Radio. "Working with Jeff is a perfect fit because our community radio station is grassroots as is YOLO. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know others with the same passion for this sport, and helping to build a SUP community in our area."
"Working on the radio show has been an entirely new adventure for me," added Jeff Archer. "Leslie makes the show light and fun, and I've really enjoyed being able to share my different paddling experiences. At YOLO Board, we're excited about the exploding interest in stand-up paddling because we feel it is an all around sport that offers something for everyone. The radio show is a great avenue to reach a new audience and continue to spread the SUP message."
