Surftech's Bible of "How to SUP" Goes Online
September 12, 2008
PRESS RELEASE

Surftech announces the free online release of their movie "STANDUP PADDLEBOARDING HOW-TO: Discover Adventure in Your Backyard", a complete guide to standup paddling and standup paddle surfing available on their site at http://surftech.com/seasonal/l2sup.php

Narrated by the undisputed "Fastest man on water", 7x Molokai champion Jamie Mitchell, the video also features Laird Hamilton, Roch Frey and Ron House joining other notable pioneers in the sport as they walk viewers through everything from standup paddle background and basics to advanced techniques. "We want to create a resource that is accessible and interesting to everyone regardless of their experience", Comments Sander Nauenberg, Surftech Marketing Manager, "If you have never set foot on an SUP this is a great place to start, and if you already rip in the surf, we have great action footage and insights from the best on improving your technique".

While walking through different chapters, Surftech's HOW-TO takes viewers from Hawaii to the California coast and on to various flat water venues. Specific attention is made to details on equipment choices, safety and the different uses of standup paddle boards, from wave-riding to recreational paddling to tri-athlete cross training. "This is essential viewing for any new comer to the sport", remarks George Phiripes, Assistant National Sales Manager for Surftech Outdoor division. "With so many newcomers to the sport, having a solid introduction makes the first time in the water a breeze.

In addition to being streamed, users are additionally given the option of downloading a full screen version to watch off line at their leisure. Watch the film and join in on the excitement for the fastest growing water sport and recreational activity.
