Huntington Hosts 2009 Southland Senior Olympics Surfing Competition
November 2, 2009
PRESS RELEASE

?On Saturday, the HBCOA, or the Huntington Beach City Council on Aging (there is such a thing!) hosted the 2009 Southland Senior Olympics Surfing Competition on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier in order to promote "active aging." The competition is open to men and women at the age of 50 and over who surf longboard and shortboard.

The event helped raise funds for seniors in the community to participate in the Senior Olympic games. The HBCOA encourages healthy living, active aging, and bridging the gap between the young and old.
