"Keep Coming Back": Marty Eisen Extends Welcome to Malibu Visitor
July 9, 2009
After an epic morning surfing Malibu on July 4th we witnessed a young local surfer girl get dropped in on by a big guy.She yelled at him to get off her wave, he lost his board and she pushed it to the beach picking up a rock and nailing the surfboard. Then yelling at the guy who her father is (well respected super local surfer). Then a local pit crew guy runs down the beach and jumps up and down on the guys board trying to break it. The guy reluctantly picked up his board and splits to his Green Suburban in the parking lot. He kept his cooool the whole time and explained to us in the lot that he surfed since childhood and is an Iraq war veteran. He showed us his bullet wounds. He was very upset that he went through a war defending the same people who surf everywhere in these United States of America to be humiliated at Malibu on the Fourth of July of all days. So if you see a big guy in a Green Suburban with a "roadkill cafe" bumpersticker on it salute him and let him know he is welcome at Malibu. Hell I would leave the lineup for him so he could get more waves to himself.
