Ocean Minded, Inc. Hosts First Beach Clean Up In Panama
August 19, 2008
PRESS RELEASE

Continuing Ocean Minded's efforts to clean and protect beaches and oceans around the globe, the company recently hosted its first-ever beach clean up in Panama. On Sunday, August 10th, Ocean Minded joined forces with Recimax, Super Deportes, and Surfeapanama.com to make a lasting impact on Malibu Beach, Panama.

"It is amazing to see how much trash is being picked up on the beaches all over the world. I want to say thank you to all the people in Panama that took time to come out and help clean the beach," stated Gary Ward, Founder of Ocean Minded.

For several hours more than 60 people with cleaning supplies in hand combed the beach to collect and proberly dispose of all the trash that had been left on the beach. In several hours, the group was able to amass over 75 bags of trash and 5 bags of recyclable materials, leaving the beach debris free.

"It's exciting to see all of the clean-ups we are hosting around the world, this year. They are really showing us what a large impact we can make and just how powerful it is to be 'Ocean Minded' on a global level," concluded Ward.
