In the Girls 18 under division, Jasset Umbel slew two huge waves giving her the win, the high wave score, and the highest heat score of the event. Jasset exhibited excellent wave selection and sat deepest in every heat. Cam Richards (Boys 16 under), Quincy Davis (Girls 16 under) and Andrew Rooney (Boys 14 under) bashed in their competition for big wins. HIGHLIGHTS: Apart from the chargers listed above, the swell itself was the highlight of the day - big, clean and exactly what these groms love. Montauk was the first event in Surfing America Prime East Series; the weekend of March 6-7th will see surfers compete at its next stop: Sebastian Inlet. RESULTS: BOYS UNDER 18 1.
