Oxbow World Longboard Tour Maldives Set to Go in Excellent 4 Feet Surf

Perfect Pasta Point surf greeted the world's best longboard surfers this morning in the Maldives and day one round one action of the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Oxbow World Longboard Tour Maldives will begin at 8:30am sharp.

With the ASP 2009 World Longboard Title to be decided at this event every heat will be intriguing with no second chances in the straight elimination format.

Defending World Champion and number one seed Bonga Perkins (HAW) is in heat 8 which should enter the water around 12:00 mid-day while current 2009 ratings leader and number two seed Harley Ingelby (AUS) should surf at 12:30.

Surfers will be given 30 minute heats and with super consistent ideal waves running along the point, expect to see outstanding surfing through all heats.
