Forecast Recap:
SOCAL on MONDAY: We mainly have a fading mid-period West-WNW swell on tap today as a small long-period WNW-NW groundswell fills in. The better winter exposures offered surf in the waist-head high range this morning as select breaks produced occasional larger waves early up to 1-2' overhead. Conditions this morning were mostly clean throughout SoCal.
BRIEF OUTLOOK: Expect small-scale surf to prevail over the next few days from modest North Hemi energy. However, stronger NPAC swells line up for Friday and the weekend! Check the forecast for further details.
Forecast Outlook:
TUESDAY: Old mid-period West-WNW swell continues to fade as a small WNW-NW groundswell mixes in. Biggest/cleanest early. Look for mainly 1-2'+ surf at the better exposed locations in the morning with fairly clean conditions. Select breaks up to waist high on the larger waves early. Conditions fall apart through the day and into the afternoon with breezy onshore flow developing.
WIND/WEATHER: Calm to light/variable southerly winds early. Look for the winds to increase through the day and into the afternoon from the West around 13-18kts. Mostly cloudy skies with a good chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
