Hola, this is Schaler with your Puerto Vallarta Area Forecast effective Friday afternoon.

Forecast Outlook:
Note: Both SW/SSW swells show strongest at the mouth of the Banderas Bay. The deeper you move into the bay and north towards Sayulita, the smaller the surf will generally be. The size outlined below is for best exposed areas.

SATURDAY:
Long period SW/SSW swell (220-200) holds Saturday with overhead to well overhead surf at exposed breaks (6-8' faces). Standout breaks go larger around the most favorable tides (9'+ faces).

SUN/MON: Solid SW/SSW (220-200) swell winds down into early next week - many sheltered areas drop quickly as the swell period comes down. Surf still runs head high to a few feet overhead on Sunday at exposures (5-7' faces), with some lingering plus sets for standouts. By Monday fun leftovers running shoulder-head high prevail.

WEATHER/WIND: Calm to locally light offshore winds for the mornings, before a light to moderate WNW flow develops each afternoon. Most of the region will see partly cloudy/sunny skies each day. However, there is still a chance for occasional passing thunderstorms/showers.

Extended Outlook: Modest SW leftovers on tap through mid next week. More SW/SSW swells lining up through the first week+ in April. NW swells look pretty minor through the next week+. Check the full premium forecast for more details and the longer range outlook.
