Rideable surf locally today, while solid Southern Hemi swell is pumping at exposures outside SB.
Dawn to 10:00AM: Continued run of shorter-period NW swell maintains knee-thigh-waist high zone waves locally, with better sets at best breaks. Most favorable winds/tide in the morning.
Afternoon Outlook: Similar size, manageable SSW afternoon onshores.
For spots outside of SB, a healthy, long-period SSW Southern Hemi is good for widespread shoulder to head high+ surf at exposures, while better breaks are overhead. Worth a road trip.

Tarpits Surf Guide
Located at the south end of the Carpinteria State Beach, Tarpits is an erratic, semi-closed-out beach/reefbreak that tends to be best during the rainy season, when sand flows out of the small rivermouth to the south. The uneven reefbreak to the south of Tarpits also can offer a few lined-up lefts during a solid S swell. Read more
