Today

Solid surf from Manhattan north but beachbreaks overloaded & largely closed out. Worth traveling.

Afternoon Outlook: Large, long-period SSW peaks. The mix of size and long period means very few makeable sections or rideable waves (beyond straight handers) for most of the South Bay. Head high to overhead sets on tap north of the Hermosa zone, top spots north of Manhattan running a few feet overhead.

Structured areas will provide the best opportunity for shapely waves on this powerful swell. Mellow W PM sea breeze adds manageable lump making size the limiting factor.
