For all the bitching and moaning about being a woman in the male-dominated world of surfing, it's time to tell the other side of the story: what it's like to be a female in the very small, strange world of women's surfing.
Last October, I had the opportunity to travel to Fiji for a boat trip with some of the best female surfers in the world. I climbed aboard the Salomon Seas, an 85-foot yacht with even more amenities than home (A helicopter pad? Are you kidding me?) with Layne Beachley, Serena Brooke, Holly Monkman and Jodie Nelson for an eye-opening ten-day voyage chock-full of adventures I've been sworn not to talk about.
