Technology Executive Named to Lead Company

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA: December 10, 2002 - Surfline Inc., a leading action sports media company, today announced the appointment of Jonno Wells as Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Wells will direct all of Surfline's corporate initiatives, including those related to sales, marketing, business development, product development and international licensing. "Jonno is a strong leader with the depth of experience necessary to help grow our business," said Sean Collins, President and Chief Forecaster. "His contributions will allow me to focus my energies more on expanding the quality and range of the free and premium services we offer at Surfline."

Jonno comes to Surfline from technology media company CMP Media, where he held various publishing, operational management, sales and business development positions for over 16 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. In various other roles, he has served as Vice President of Client Services of an interactive advertising agency and was involved in the management of a start-up streaming media venture. He brings a customer-focus approach from having created media solutions for many leading companies including Warner Bros., Nissan, Intel, HP, and Microsoft. Jonno holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He grew up on the beaches of Newport, Corona del Mar and Laguna.
