The new section isn't officially live right now, but you can take the 'preview' version for a test drive right now. Go to this page which will set the 'preview cookie' which will temporarily give you access to the new section. Your feedback helps us make a better product. If you have any comments, bugs or feedback, fill out this quick survey and let us know.
We've recently redesigned our Camera and Forecast section in order to improve the user experience. Our goal was to highlight the features that are most important for finding surf, and keep the other great tools we have within easy reach. Below is a quick overview of what we've done.
EASIER ACCESS
In order to make it easier to access all the information about a specific subregion (HD cams, forecasts, advanced forecast tools), we've moved all of those links to the left side navigation. To access any camera on Surfline, you can still use the top navigation or the search boxes on the left hand nav.

We redesigned and simplified the layout of the pages to make the information you need the most easy to find and read. The text is now black on a white background and the key elements (forecasts, weather data) are now in bigger, bolder text.

SAVE YOUR FAVORITES
You can now save any page in the Cams and Forecast section as a 'Favorite' so that you quickly and easily access the information you use the most. Simply click 'Add This Page' under the 'Favorites' menu to save that page and have it show up in the left hand nav. You can also click 'Edit Favorites' and change the order of that list or delete items.

With one glance at the page, you can see what all the reports are in your region. We've also updated our color coding system so you can immediately see where the conditions are happening or not.

BUOY SUMMARIES AND DETAILS
Buoys are an essentail part of every surfer's surf check. So we've created a new, comprehensive regional buoy summary page which lists all the buoys for that region with the individual swells broken out and the wind/air/water data. No other site presents the buoy data in this detail. We also have detailed buoy pages with three days of buoy data along with a new map interface to better locate the positions of each buoy.
